A baker posted a steam cleaner on Prime Day. Half of her month's commissions came from comment DMs.

The short answer

Jasmine Lemire, a French baker and Amazon Influencer, posted a Prime Day reel of a steam cleaner and sent the Amazon link to everyone who commented the keyword. The reel got around 600K views and almost 7,000 comments. She earned €11,000 to €12,000 in commissions that month, and says half came from comment DMs.

The numbers

Numbers are from the published case study and are self-reported. Results vary, and the tool used in the study was not Postkey.

  • Around 600K views on the reel
  • Almost 7,000 comments
  • 330,807 Amazon clicks and 8,329 items ordered from mid-September to mid-October, across all her links

What she does every time

  1. 01

She waits for a discount: "I always wait for the promotion."

  2. 02

She uses the easiest word to type, usually link.

  3. 03

She starts her caption with "Comment" so people see it first.

  4. 04

She keeps it personal. Her followers thank her by name.

Why it pays more than one sale

When someone clicks her link and lands on Amazon, everything they buy in that session is credited to her, even if they skip the steam cleaner.
