Grok Bot + Postkey

Connect Grok to Instagram: DMs, comments and posts

Grok Bot has no built-in Instagram connector for DMs. Add Postkey on grok.com as a custom connector, then ask Grok Bot about your DMs, automations and posts in plain words.

The short answer

Yes. Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool, and Grok Bot can connect to it. Connect Postkey's MCP server (https://postkey.pro/mcp) to Grok Bot, sign in, and choose what it may do. It can then create comment-to-DM automations, answer your inbox and schedule posts, using up to 52 Postkey tools, and anything that reaches real people waits for your yes.

What you can ask Grok Bot

Ask in your own words. A few things people ask on the first day:

  • Set up an automation: anyone who comments GUIDE under my next reel gets my guide link by DM.
  • Only send the link to people who follow me, and ask everyone else to follow first.
  • Which DMs are still unread? Draft replies to the shipping questions.
  • Write a caption for Friday's drop, use the video from my library, and schedule it for 9am on Instagram and TikTok.
  • How did my posts do this month, and which automation got the most link taps?
  • Find @afan in my contacts and tag them VIP.

Connect Grok Bot to Postkey

Add Postkey as a custom connector on grok.com, then sign in. We tried this on grok.com on October 14, 2026: Grok Bot signed in, listed Postkey's 15 read tools and read a profile overview. We have not tested the tools that change or send anything, or the approvals flow, and have not tried the Grok apps.

  1. 01

On grok.com, open Plugins, then Connectors, then "New Connector", then "Custom".

  2. 02

Paste your Postkey address under Server URL.

    https://postkey.pro/mcp
  3. 03

Give it a name, for example Postkey.

  4. 04

A sign-in window from Postkey opens. Sign in to Postkey, pick the profile, and choose what Grok Bot may do.

Why Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool

Postkey's MCP server can build, edit and switch on automations. An agent can do the whole job:

  • Build, edit and switch on DM automations: comment to DM, keyword DMs, follow to unlock, collecting emails.
  • Read the inbox, draft replies and send them once you say yes.
  • Write, schedule and publish posts, and set the DM keyword each post's comments reply to.
  • Find and tag contacts, and report how posts and automations did.
  • Up to 52 tools in one MCP server, with OAuth sign-in or an agent key, and a skill file that teaches the agent the rules.
  • Approvals, limits and protection from instructions hidden in DMs built in, so you can let an agent run it.

Why use Grok Bot for your DMs

Grok Bot is quick with short, punchy copy: hooks, captions, keyword replies. With Postkey connected it can look at your real automations and inbox, and draft the next one for you, with your yes before anything reaches people.

Postkey is DM automation and a post scheduler in one, so the same conversation can write the post, schedule it to 10 networks and set the keyword its comments reply to.

You stay in charge

  • It acts as you, on the one profile you picked, inside your plan and its limits.
  • Publishing a post, sending a reply and switching on an automation wait for your yes by default.
  • Each connection has limits: up to 60 requests a minute and 200 changes a day by default (20 a minute and 100 a day for the whole profile on Free).
  • Text from DMs and comments reaches the assistant marked as written by someone else, and it is told never to follow it.
  • Billing, your team, connected accounts and deleting contacts stay with you. An assistant cannot touch them.
  • End a connection at any time and its next request is refused.

Questions

Not by default. Sending a reply, publishing a post and switching on an automation wait in Postkey for your yes. An owner or admin can change that for one connection.

No. You sign in to Instagram on Meta's own page when you connect it to Postkey, and the assistant only gets the access you choose in Postkey.

Not one that runs DMs. Postkey works as a custom connector on grok.com: paste your Postkey address and sign in.

On grok.com on October 14, 2026, Grok Bot signed in to Postkey, listed the read tools and read a profile overview. We have not yet tested the tools that change or send anything, or the Grok apps, so start with questions and drafts.

No. Grok's connector form asks only for a name and the address, so signing in is the only way.

No. We found no official ManyChat MCP server (searched October 23, 2026), and ManyChat's public API cannot create, change or switch on a flow, so through any server built on it Grok Bot can only start flows you made by hand. Our ManyChat MCP page has the details.
