The most agentic DM automation
Instagram DM automation for AI agents
Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool: Instagram DM automation and a post scheduler with a remote MCP server, so ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or your own agent can run it for you.
The short answer
Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool. Connect its MCP server (https://postkey.pro/mcp) to your AI assistant and sign in. The assistant gets up to 45 tools to build comment-to-DM and keyword automations, read and answer your inbox, manage contacts and schedule posts. Sending, publishing and switching on wait for your yes by default.
Why Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool
Postkey was built for AI agents from the start, not given an API afterwards. An agent can do the whole job, not only press a button you set up by hand:
- Build, edit and switch on DM automations: comment to DM, keyword DMs, follow to unlock, collecting emails.
- Read the inbox, draft replies and send them once you say yes.
- Write, schedule and publish posts, and set the DM keyword each post's comments reply to.
- Find and tag contacts, and report how posts and automations did.
- Up to 45 tools in one MCP server, with OAuth sign-in or an agent key, and a skill file that teaches the agent the rules.
- Approvals, limits and protection from instructions hidden in DMs built in, so you can let an agent run it.
Which assistants work
| Assistant | How it connects | Sign-in |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | Add Postkey as a custom MCP server, then sign in. | Sign in with Postkey |
| Claude | Add Postkey as a custom connector, then sign in. | Sign in with Postkey |
| Cursor | Add Postkey to Cursor's MCP settings with an agent key. | Agent key |
| Hermes Agent | One command where Hermes runs, then sign in. | Sign in or agent key |
| OpenClaw | Two commands where OpenClaw runs, or its Control UI. | Sign in with Postkey |
| Any other agent | Anything that can add an MCP server, or send a header. | Sign in or agent key |
Postkey is one MCP server over Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 sign-in. Anything that can add an MCP server, or send a header, can use it.
Why an MCP server matters for DM automation
Most DM tools were built for a person clicking through a flow builder. An agent needs tools it can call: create this automation, use this keyword, send this link, schedule this post.
Postkey's MCP server can build and edit automations, not only trigger ones you made by hand, and it covers the post scheduler in the same connection. We found no official ManyChat MCP server (searched October 20, 2026), and ManyChat users are asking for one on ManyChat's own community board.
You stay in charge
- It acts as you, on the one account you picked, inside your plan and its limits.
- Publishing a post, sending a reply and switching on an automation wait for your yes by default.
- Each connection has limits: up to 60 requests a minute and 200 changes a day by default.
- Text from DMs and comments reaches the assistant marked as written by someone else, and it is told never to follow it.
- Billing, your team, connected accounts and deleting contacts stay with you. An assistant cannot touch them.
- End a connection at any time and its next request is refused.
For builders
- Address: https://postkey.pro/mcp (Streamable HTTP).
- Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, which the assistant finds on its own. Or an agent key, sent as the Bearer token.
- A skill file your agent reads first: /skills/postkey/SKILL.md.
- Up to 45 tools, each marked read only or not.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the standard way AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude use outside tools. Postkey's MCP server gives an assistant Postkey's tools, limited to what you allow.
Yes, through Postkey and inside Instagram's rules: replies and automations go through Meta's official API, and by default each one waits for your yes.
No. Everything goes through the one MCP server, which scripts can also call with an agent key.
