Social media automation: scheduling and DMs in one tool

Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool, with a post scheduler built in, so one assistant can plan the posts and answer what they bring in.

The short answer

Social media automation covers two jobs: publishing posts on a schedule, and answering the comments and DMs those posts bring in. Postkey does both. It schedules posts to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Telegram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business, and automates comments and DMs on Instagram and Messenger. Each post carries its own DM keyword, so the automation goes live with the post, and an AI agent can run both over MCP.

"Coming" means built and working in Postkey's demo, and not switched on for customers yet. X is not on the list yet. LinkedIn: Post as yourself or a company page you manage.

Why one tool for both

  • A comment-to-DM campaign is a post plus an automation. In one tool, you write the keyword once, on the post.
  • With "Turn DMs on when a post is approved" on (the default), approving or scheduling the post makes its automation, so DMs go out from the first comment.
  • The results sit together: how each post did, and how many DMs and link taps it brought.
  • ManyChat lists no post scheduler on its pricing page or help center (read October 20, 2026), so with ManyChat this takes a second tool.

Let an AI agent run the calendar

Connect Postkey's MCP server to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or your own agent. With up to 52 tools it can write and schedule posts, attach media from your library, set the DM keyword and report back. Publishing waits for your yes by default.

  • Write captions for next week's three reels, use the videos in my library, and schedule them for 9am on Instagram and TikTok.
  • Put "Comment GUIDE for the link" on Tuesday's post and send the guide to everyone who comments GUIDE.
  • How did my posts do this month, and which one brought the most link taps?

Plans

Postkey's Free plan includes 4 live automations, 25 contacts a month and 5 scheduled posts a week. Every plan has the scheduler and DM automation, and a paid plan holds up to 15 connected accounts.

Why Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool

Postkey's MCP server can build, edit and switch on automations. An agent can do the whole job:

  • Build, edit and switch on DM automations: comment to DM, keyword DMs, follow to unlock, collecting emails.
  • Read the inbox, draft replies and send them once you say yes.
  • Write, schedule and publish posts, and set the DM keyword each post's comments reply to.
  • Find and tag contacts, and report how posts and automations did.
  • Up to 52 tools in one MCP server, with OAuth sign-in or an agent key, and a skill file that teaches the agent the rules.
  • Approvals, limits and protection from instructions hidden in DMs built in, so you can let an agent run it.

Questions

Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Telegram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business. Not X yet.

Instagram and Messenger today. TikTok, WhatsApp and Telegram are coming. WhatsApp: From Create. Meta bills your WhatsApp Business Account for messages. The scheduler works on every network above either way.

Yes. An assistant connected over MCP can write the caption, pick the media, schedule the post and set its DM keyword. The post waits for your approval by default.

Yes, when the keyword is set on the post. Approving or scheduling the post makes its comment-to-DM automation, and it answers from the first comment.
