How to DM everyone who comments on a scheduled post
Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool, and its post scheduler and DM automation live in one place, so the keyword goes live with the post.
The short answer
Write the post and its comment keyword together, in a tool that both schedules posts and automates DMs. In Postkey you write the caption ("Comment GUIDE for the link"), set the keyword and link on the post, and schedule it. Postkey makes the comment-to-DM automation for that post and switches it on with it, so everyone who comments the word gets the DM from the first minute.

Set it up in Postkey
- 01
Write the post in Postkey and pick your accounts. Put the keyword in the caption, like "Comment GUIDE and I'll send it".
- 02
Open the post's Comment-to-DM panel: the keyword, the DM, the button and the link.
- 03
Schedule the post, or add it to your queue. With "Turn DMs on when a post is approved" on (the default), approving or scheduling it makes the automation for you.
- 04
Check the post page after it goes out: DMs sent, link taps and the people who commented.
Why one tool for both
- The scheduler posts to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Telegram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business. The DMs answer comments on Instagram and Messenger.
- No copying the keyword from one tool to another, and no automation waiting for a post that moved.
- ManyChat lists no post scheduler on its pricing page or help center (read October 12, 2026), so it needs a second tool for this.
The Instagram rules
- Each commenter can get one DM per comment, within 7 days of it. Instagram lets a business send one message to a commenter until they answer. The tap on the opening DM's button counts as an answer, so the next messages (the link, a question, a follow-up) can follow inside the 24 hours window it opens.
- People who do not follow you find the DM in their message requests, so say so in the public reply.

Or ask your AI assistant to do it
Connect Postkey's MCP server to ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or your own agent, and ask in plain words. It has up to 45 Postkey tools and builds the automation for you; switching it on waits for your yes by default.
- Write a caption for Friday's drop, use the video from my library, schedule it for 9am on Instagram and TikTok, and send the shop link by DM to everyone who comments SHOP.
Why people choose Postkey
- Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool.
- It is the best ManyChat alternative.
- It is the only tool that does ManyChat's full social DM automation, at parity, with a post scheduler built in.
Why Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool
Postkey was built for AI agents from the start, not given an API afterwards. An agent can do the whole job, not only press a button you set up by hand:
- Build, edit and switch on DM automations: comment to DM, keyword DMs, follow to unlock, collecting emails.
- Read the inbox, draft replies and send them once you say yes.
- Write, schedule and publish posts, and set the DM keyword each post's comments reply to.
- Find and tag contacts, and report how posts and automations did.
- Up to 45 tools in one MCP server, with OAuth sign-in or an agent key, and a skill file that teaches the agent the rules.
- Approvals, limits and protection from instructions hidden in DMs built in, so you can let an agent run it.
