Ask in your own words. Your assistant uses Postkey’s tools (up to 45, depending on the access you give it) and hands you the result.

It asks before it sends.

By default, publishing a post, sending a DM reply and turning on an automation wait in Posts, Approvals. You check the words, pick the time and approve. Nothing reaches a real person before that.

  • It acts as you, inside your plan

Every request runs as you, with your role, on the one account you picked. Your plan limits apply: on Free, the 5 posts a week count posts an assistant schedules too.

  • Limits on every connection

Up to 60 requests a minute and 200 changes a day by default. Looking around does not count toward the daily number.

  • Messages are not orders

Text from DMs and comments reaches your assistant marked as written by someone else, and it is told never to follow it.

  • Nothing hangs around

A reply or automation nobody answers lapses after 7 days. End a connection and its very next request is refused.

One MCP server. Sign in with Postkey.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard assistants use to call outside tools. Postkey is one remote MCP server, so anything that speaks it can work in your account.

MCP server

One remote endpoint

Path
/mcp on your Postkey address
Transport
Streamable HTTP, stateless
Sign-in
OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, which the assistant finds on its own
Or
An agent key, sent as the Bearer token
Tools
Up to 45, by the access given, each marked read only or not

Skills

A guide your agent reads first

The rules for working in Postkey, as a skill file and as plain text for custom instructions.

  • /skills/postkey/SKILL.md
  • /skills/postkey/instructions.txt
  • Start with postkey_get_started. It learns your plan, what is left of it and what it may do before it plans anything.
  • Draft, preview, then ask. It shows you the post, reply or automation and waits for your yes.
  • Know what waiting for approval means. It tells you something is waiting in Approvals and never claims it was sent.

Agent keys

For agents that can’t open a sign-in page

Scripts, self-hosted agents and tools like Cursor send a key in a header instead. You make the key in Postkey, choose its access the same way, and can end it at any time. Up to 20 keys per person.

Keep a key out of chats, files and commits.

curl -s https://your-postkey-address/mcp \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $POSTKEY_AGENT_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Accept: application/json, text/event-stream" \
  -d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call",
       "params":{"name":"postkey_get_started","arguments":{}}}'

Your AI and Postkey, answered

Yes. Sign in to Postkey and open Agent & API to connect an assistant or make an agent key.

No. You sign in on Postkey’s own page. The assistant gets access to one account, limited to what you ticked, and you can end it at any time.

Not by default. Publishing a post, sending a reply and turning on an automation wait in Posts, Approvals for your yes. An owner or admin can switch that off for one connection.

Yes. An assistant works inside the same plan and the same limits as you.

ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Hermes Agent, OpenClaw and Any other agent. Grok Bot, Muse and Instinct can’t add an outside tool yet. We will add them when we can.

It doesn’t. Text from DMs and comments comes back marked as written by someone else, and the rules your assistant reads say never to act on it. Anything it would send still waits for your yes.

There is no separate REST API. Everything goes through the one MCP server, which scripts can also call with an agent key.
