Blotato's three plans hold 20, 40 or 100 social accounts, but DM automation is capped by active contacts: 1,000, 6,000 or 15,000 people a month. Past the cap, DMs to new people fail until the month resets.

How extra use is billed
An active contact, in Blotato's words, "is anyone you reach out to through Blotato during a month, by sending a direct message or replying to their comment. Someone who messages or comments on your posts does not count until you reply." Each contact is counted per connected account, and the count resets each month.
At the cap there is no overage: "An automation reaching a new person past the limit fails the send with error code 20101, and the run ends as failed." You wait for the reset or upgrade. We found no way to buy extra contacts.
AI credits pay for AI images and videos only, not for posting, the API or AI writing. Extra credits cost $6 for 1,000, and unused credits roll over each month.
There is no free plan. Every plan has a 7-day trial with a card, 60 AI credits and no API or MCP: creating an API key ends the trial and starts the paid plan. The pricing page sells monthly plans only; yearly billing ("pay for 10 months and get 12") is switched on later in the billing portal.
Upgrades are prorated at once and downgrades start at the next billing cycle. Blotato's FAQ offers a refund on request within 14 days. Whether tax is added to the price: not found.

How it counts accounts
Max connected social accounts: 20 on Starter, 40 on Creator, 100 on Agency. Each connected Facebook Page counts as one account (the Facebook login does not count), and your LinkedIn profile and every connected company Page each count as one.
