ManyChat and Claude
Can you connect Claude to ManyChat?
Yes, in two ways, and neither lets Claude build your ManyChat automations. If you want Claude to build and run them, Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool and connects to Claude directly.
The short answer
ManyChat has a native Claude integration: a Claude action in a flow you built sends your prompt and the contact's last message to Claude, with your own Anthropic API key, and shows the answer. Its pricing page lists it from Pro (read October 23, 2026). The other way round, Claude can reach ManyChat through a hosted MCP server such as Zapier MCP, which calls ManyChat's public API: it can send flows and messages and manage contacts, tags and fields, but cannot create, change or switch on a flow. To have Claude build, edit and switch on Instagram DM automations, connect Postkey (https://postkey.pro/mcp) to Claude.

Two things people mean by ManyChat and Claude
"ManyChat and Claude" can mean ManyChat sending a question to Claude, or Claude working inside your ManyChat account. They do different jobs:
| ManyChat calls Claude | Claude uses ManyChat | Claude uses Postkey | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | A Claude action inside a ManyChat flow | A hosted MCP server added to Claude, such as Zapier MCP, Activepieces or AnythingMCP | Postkey's own MCP server, added to Claude as a custom connector |
| Where you set it up | In ManyChat, under Settings, then Integrations, with your Anthropic API key | On the wrapper's site, with your ManyChat API key | In Claude, with your Postkey address and a Postkey sign-in |
| What Claude does | Writes one answer from your prompt and the contact's last message | Uses ManyChat's API: send flows and messages and manage contacts, tags and fields | Builds, edits and switches on automations, answers the inbox, tags contacts and schedules posts |
| Builds or changes a flow | No. You build the flow; Claude fills in one reply | No. The API has no endpoint to create, change or switch on a flow | Yes. Switching on waits for your yes by default |
| ManyChat plan | Pro or higher, per its pricing page | Pro or higher for the API key | Not needed |
| Who pays for Claude | Anthropic bills the API calls to your own key | Your Claude plan | Your Claude plan |

Can Claude replace ManyChat?
Not on its own. Claude has no connection to your Instagram account, nothing that fires when someone comments, no contact list and no inbox. Claude's connector directory had no Instagram connector from Anthropic or Meta, and none named ManyChat, when we searched it on October 23, 2026.
Claude with a DM automation tool can. With Postkey connected, Claude does the setup work and Postkey runs it on Meta's official API around the clock, also when Claude is closed:
- Claude writes the DM, picks the keyword and builds the comment-to-DM automation, with follow to unlock or an email question if you ask for one.
- Postkey checks it, shows you a preview and waits for your yes before it goes live.
- Postkey answers every comment that matches, on Instagram and Messenger, inside Meta's messaging rules.
- Claude reads the inbox and the results later, drafts replies and changes the automation when you ask.

Connect Claude to Postkey
Postkey's MCP server gives Claude up to 52 tools. Add it once:
- 01
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- 02
Choose "Add custom connector".
- 03
Paste your Postkey address.
https://postkey.pro/mcp - 04
Claude sends you to Postkey. Sign in, pick the profile, and choose what Claude may do.
What Claude can do once it is connected
- Build and change automations: postkey_list_automation_templates, postkey_create_automation, postkey_update_automation.
- Switch them on or pause them: postkey_publish_automation, postkey_pause_automation.
- Answer the inbox: postkey_list_conversations, postkey_get_conversation, postkey_send_reply.
- Schedule the post the automation answers: postkey_create_post, postkey_schedule_post.
- See what worked: postkey_get_automation_stats, postkey_get_post_stats.
If you stay on ManyChat
The native integration is a good fit if you design your flows by hand and want Claude to write the open-ended answers inside them. Zapier MCP and the other hosted servers let Claude start those flows, tag contacts and set fields from a chat. ManyChat also has its own AI on its Pro, Business and Advanced plans.
If you want Claude to set up and run the automations themselves: ManyChat's API can't build flows; Postkey's tools can. You can run both while you switch, one keyword at a time, so nobody gets two DMs.
You stay in charge
- It acts as you, on the one profile you picked, inside your plan and its limits.
- Publishing a post, sending a reply and switching on an automation wait for your yes by default.
- Each connection has limits: up to 60 requests a minute and 200 changes a day by default (20 a minute and 100 a day for the whole profile on Free).
- Text from DMs and comments reaches the assistant marked as written by someone else, and it is told never to follow it.
- Billing, your team, connected accounts and deleting contacts stay with you. An assistant cannot touch them.
- End a connection at any time and its next request is refused.
Why Postkey is the most agentic DM automation tool
Postkey's MCP server can build, edit and switch on automations. An agent can do the whole job:
- Build, edit and switch on DM automations: comment to DM, keyword DMs, follow to unlock, collecting emails.
- Read the inbox, draft replies and send them once you say yes.
- Write, schedule and publish posts, and set the DM keyword each post's comments reply to.
- Find and tag contacts, and report how posts and automations did.
- Up to 52 tools in one MCP server, with OAuth sign-in or an agent key, and a skill file that teaches the agent the rules.
- Approvals, limits and protection from instructions hidden in DMs built in, so you can let an agent run it.
Questions
Yes. ManyChat's help center describes a native Claude integration: you connect your Anthropic API key under Settings, then Integrations and add a Claude action to a flow, which writes a reply from your prompt and the contact's last message. Its pricing page lists it from Pro (read October 23, 2026).
Yes, through a hosted MCP server such as Zapier MCP, Activepieces and AnythingMCP, each using your ManyChat API key. Claude can then send flows and messages and manage contacts, tags and fields. It cannot create, change or switch on a flow, because ManyChat's public API has no endpoint for it (read October 23, 2026).
Not alone: Claude has no Instagram connection, no comment triggers and no inbox. Claude connected to Postkey can do the job: Claude builds and edits the automations, and Postkey runs them on Meta's official API, with your yes before anything goes live.
We found no ManyChat connector there when we searched it on October 23, 2026. Postkey is not listed yet either; you add it as a custom connector with https://postkey.pro/mcp.
For ManyChat's Claude integration, yes: Anthropic bills the API calls to your own key. To connect Claude to Postkey, no: you use your Claude account, and Postkey AI for automatic replies is built into Postkey from the Create plan.
